MBC Breakfast Program - Addressing Substance Abuse in the A/E/C Industries

The National Construction Industry’s statistics of substance abuse and substance disorders are alarming.

Workers in construction have nearly twice the rate of substance abuse as the national average, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), impacting project execution, company profitability, and most importantly the lives of individuals and their families caught in addiction. Companies in the A/E sector are also juggling with this issue, often grappling with how best to help valued employees.

Join us on April 23rd as we present how our local community has answered a call to action. Hear from an EAP team transforming lives, a 4th generation family owned and operated Construction Management firm focused on employee safety and wellness, and an organization driven to push back the stigma of addiction - led by Kevin Stevens, whose incredible Boston Bruins career was impacted by his own substance abuse, and how he overcame his challenges and founded an organization that changes lives for the better.
