Lisa Hogarty
Senior Vice President – Real Estate Planning and Development,
Boston Children’s Hospital

As Senior Vice President of Real Estate Planning and Development at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), Lisa Hogarty is responsible for the planning, design and construction of BCH’s $4B, 10-year capital program. Several of those projects include new clinical buildings in the Boston suburbs of Needham, Waltham and Weymouth, as well as the development of a new research building in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston.


Lisa is the co-chair of the Longwood Medical Energy Collaborative, whose members are Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and The Joslin Institute. The institutions are the customers of the MATEP power plant in the Longwood Medical Area

 

Previously, Lisa held similar positions at Harvard University and Dartmouth College. While at Harvard, she was instrumental in the planning of the new Allston campus and reshaping Harvard’s vast real estate portfolio. Ms. Hogarty also spent eight years at Columbia University in several senior leadership roles; the last as senior vice president and chief operating officer of Columbia University Medical Center.


Before her tenure at those Ivy League institutions, Lisa worked in several large hospital systems in New York City, including Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she managed a complex set of departments, in multiple hospital locations across the city.


Ms. Hogarty holds a Master of Science degree from New York University and a Bachelor of Fine     Arts from Colby-Sawyer College, where she is also the Chair of the Board of Trustees.

With 30 plus years as both a healthcare administrator and consultant, Wendy brings a valued and balanced perspective to her work. Clients appreciate her ability to translate among strategic, operational, financial, and facilities data, tame complexity, and facilitate decisions. Prior to joining The Innova Group, Wendy was the Corporate Director of Real Estate, Planning and Development at Tufts Medical Center after serving as National Director of Strategic Facilities Planning at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland.

Wendy is a frequent presenter at national and regional conferences, is a recipient of the Strategist of the Year Award from the New England Society for Healthcare Strategy, and Distinguished Healthcare Executive and Service Awards from the American College of Healthcare Executives. She holds an MBA from Simmons University, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Management and a Masters in Consulting Psychology from Harvard, and Bachelors in Psychology from Tufts.

As the healthcare principal and market sector leader for New England, Jessica is responsible for bringing HDR’s vast network of specialized healthcare services and expertise to healthcare organizations throughout the East coast region.  Jessica is a recognized thought leader, with over 20 years of experience in strategic master planning, programming, design and successful leadership of the delivery of complex healthcare projects for academic medical centers. Known for her broad range of industry experience, Jessica has contributed to articles published in Health Facilities Management, Greenhealth Magazine and Contract Magazine. She has shared her knowledge through regional and national conferences.

Jessica has extensive experience in employing integrated delivery methodologies to expedite the design and construction, while maintaining the design intent, quality and minimizing risk. She leads collaborative and integrated teams through the entire design process, to ensure the talents of all participants further enhance the value of the work and the vision of her clients. Jessica has extensive experience in programming and design of rehabilitation hospitals. In 2019, Jessica received the Trail Blazer Award from the Massachusetts Disability Law Center for designing inclusive and accessible environments.

Jessica has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Major in Interior Architectural Design and a minor in Art History from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is an active IIDA and New England Society of Engineers. She is a board of trustee member of the USS Constitution Museum in Charlestown, Ma.
